Nevada City Halloween
Are you ready for Halloween? While we’re toning things down at the motel this year, with no haunted pathway or trick or treating, we wanted to remind folks that we’re still celebrating the spirit, just in a socially distant way. While our annual Day of the Dead Historic Cemetery hike with Folk Trails Hiking Club isn’t happening in an organized way this year, many thanks to Jesse Locks for putting together a round up how to go on a self guided tour. Click here for more information and lots of points of interest, you’re bound to learn something new.
If you’re looking for more activities, while being mindful of crowds, check out the Nevada City Film Festival Drive In Halloween movies, take a self guided fall colors walk, or grab some pumpkin ice cream from Treats. The Nevada City Farmers Market will be celebrating the bounty of the season, but encouraging to customers to come in costume or schedule a private haunted tour with Nevada City’s guide Mark Lyon. Nevada City Chamber has a round up local events (cheers to Nevada City Winery’s Hallowine Weekend), plus check out our recent blog post on fall activities.
If you’re looking for Halloween activities Downtown Grass Valley has a great round up for an alternative to their annual trick or treating event. There’s still time to vote on the merchant window display contest, pick your favorite in both Nevada City & Grass Valley. And if you need a last minute costume, make sure to stop in Solstice in downtown Nevada City for some creative ideas.
We’ve loved having happy campers at the Inn Town Campground, lots of great ways to celebrate the holiday while spending time outside. For those planning their Halloween activities for next year the campground does Halloween decorations for the entire month of October!
