Nevada City 4th of July Parade
Nevada City’s 4th of July Parade, with approximately 75 entries, was a festive occasion in red, white and blue. Small town pride on display with Grand Marshall Evan Strong, the Ophir Prison marching band, the Soapbox Derby cars, Nevada County Concert Band, Jazzercise ladies, ECV, Nevada Union band, Nevada County library and many, many more… I was impressed with the crowds, especially with the heat, great job to everyone who participated and/or cheered from the sidewalks. The winners of Treats gift certificates are Nora and Sheila Cameron.

Congrats to the Camerons! Happy Independence Day!
Great pictures. Thanks! You really got the pics posted quickly!
Did you know that Nevada City was featured on Huell Houser a few nights ago?? I missed it, but heard all about it at the breakfast table. I collapsed in the 4th of July Parade yesterday – in 95 degree heat – and had to be picked up by a ready emergency “go-cart”. I have done my last parade!!!!! (Watching soccer today).. Love, Peg
The parade was fun, I see myself in one of your photos!
