Nevada City Photos and Images, Postcards

Postcards!  The Outside Inn’s blog InnSide Nevada City is branching out into the printed form.  Let me introduce you to the first run of Nevada City postcards.  We’ve got 11 designs to choose from with postcards celebrating the following: Victorian Christmas, Robinson Plaza Chalk Art, Deer Creek Tribute Trail, a picturesque bicycle in front of Treats, local food movement, four seasons, Farm to Table dinner, South Yuba River, Hirschman Pond, Nevada City First Friday Art Walk and Buttermilk Bend Trail.  Thanks to Kathy Frey for collaborating on this project, together we created a fresh new set of postcards to help share our love of Nevada City.  The postcards are currently available at the Outside InnJ.J. Jackson’s, Neva Co Artisan Boutique, Harmony Books, Gray Goose, Harmony Ridge Market, Enid and Edgar, Emma Nevada House, Broad Street Inn, Kitkitdizzi, Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and Briar Patch Co-op.  Want to win a set?  Post a comment here on who you’d send a postcard to and I’ll draw the winner on Halloween, pick up not required.

I would send a postcard to myself because it is so exciting to receive mail that is not a bill and to remind myself that California has such diverse landscape and I should take advantage of it more often since I live here.

I would send a postcard to my mom and dad just to show them how beautiful my new, soon to be, home town is. So much beauty… so little time!

I think I’d mail a few to my friends that moved away…. just to show them what they’re missing! =)

Or keep them for myself and frame them…. Great pics per usual! =)

First send one to the Great Pumpkin of course. Then perhaps Santa Claus – you never know it might get him to bump Nevada City closer to the front of the line. Finally, how about Google – maybe they would re-think their Fiber Optic location program. Curse you Google!!

I would send a postcard to my son in Afghanistan. He will be back just before Christmas and I can’t wait to take a holiday stroll through Nevada City with him!

I would send them all to myself and then frame them as a montage to hang over my desk. They are too beautiful to part with.

I would send one out to each and every one of my friends who thought this city mouse would not fair well as a country mouse. These will show them why country livin’ ain’t so bad! I may just have to keep the postcard with the bicycle in front of Treats, though (it will be framed and hung up on my wall!). Now to find a postcard with a First Friday Artwalk logo on it. I just love the way that little walking eye has added so much fun to my first fridays!

These turned out so beautiful!! I would love to see them all in person! I would send one to my parents- I think they’d enjoy a road trip to your pretty spot! I might have a hard time parting with them since they would be so pretty on my new cork board… But I do love Amy’s idea!!!
    Coffee time for me too!

I’d send them to anyone and everyone…they’d make great thank you notes..or frame them as a Nevada City collage and enjoy them all to myself. ; )
I bought a pack and gave it to my mom…let’s see who her recipients are!

I would send cards to just about everyone I know. We’re hoping to move to Nevada City and I want all my friends and family to come visit us if we do!

I would send the postcards to my great aunt and elder cousins in NY because I think everyone loves to get mail, and when you get older you you can feel forgotten, so your beautiful cards will make them feel loved and happy.

You are so talented Erin! I’m excited about the new postcards. I’d send one to my friends who now live in Humboldt County. They moved there from a sweet little house on Jordan Street, Nevada City. Your images would remind them of the cool town they left behind.

Thank you so much for the postcards! I sent the one of the Yuba River to my son in Afghanistan. It was a tough choice because they’re all so beautiful, but he loves the river! I know it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet but I feel compelled to say it: Merry Christmas!
