Nevada City Victorian Christmas

Hello December!  Things are looking festive in downtown Nevada City, but as we round out the year, we are excited about the return of one of Nevada City’s favorite events.  Victorian Christmas helps bring out the holiday spirit for both locals and visitors. The street fair organized by the Nevada City Chamber transforms downtown Nevada City into a big street fair with over 100 vendors, food trucks, hot mulled wine, holiday music and more.  You can stock up on Christmas gifts, sit by the roaring fire with roasting chestnuts or catch up with old friends.  Make sure to keep an eye out for the walking Christmas tree, Father Christmas and Victorian Christmas Singers.  You can take a ride on the horse-drawn carriage, grab a bite to eat at one of the local food vendors or have a hot toddy from the Nevada City Chamber booth.  The event continues Sunday, December 10th and continues Wednesday 13th (5-9pm) and Sunday December 17th (1:30-6pm).  If you can’t find a parking spot in town, remember you can always park at the Nevada County Government Center and catch the shuttle.  Grass Valley Cornish Christmas continues on Friday evenings till December 17th.  Don’t forget Nevada City Craft Fair at the Miners Foundry, Sunday, December 17th from 10am-5pm.  And for those of you who missed our think local holiday spirit blog post last month, my favorite suggestion is always a gift certificate to the Inn Town Campground.  Check out our Instagram reel for more fun festival clips.
