Nevada City Victorian Christmas, photos by Erin Thiem Outside InnNevada City Victorian Christmas is always a great way to ring in the holidays. The event continues the following two Wednesdays, December 10th and 17th (5-9pm) and two Sundays, December 14th and 21st (1:30-6pm).  A fun festive celebration that transforms Broad Street and the surrounding blocks into a street party.  Get a cup of mulled wine, enjoy the holiday music, stock up on Christmas gifts, sit by the roaring fire with roasting chestnuts or grab something to eat at one of the many local food vendors.  Make sure to keep an eye out for the walking Christmas tree and Father Christmas.  I’d like to invite you to join me in another photo contest, share your favorite local holiday photos, either by using the hashtag #NevadaCityxmas on Instagram, share on the Outside Inn’s Facebook page or email them to me (erin@outsideinn.com).  Deadline will be Sunday, December 21st.  Winner will be featured on the Outside Inn’s Instagram and blog on Tuesday, December 23rd.  I’ll put together a little prize package for the winner (although nothing compares to the Crazy Outside Inn blog giveaway, I’ve obviously set the bar far too high).  The photos can be from Nevada City or Grass Valley, just something to help share the spirit of the holidays.
