Nevada City Fall colorsThere are so many things I love about living in a small town.  As many of you know through the InnSide Nevada City blog I share my love of Nevada City and the area through photos, and occassionaly a few tid bits of information.  Thanks to our beautiful community for providing me with countless opportunities to stop in the middle of the street, take a photo and marvel. If you don’t know what you’re doing this weekend… take a walk downtown (click here for a fall tree walk, points of historical interest walk or here for my favorite local hike).  Or if you want to get out and explore check out the South Yuba River or Scotts Flat Lake, both spots are are beautiful in the late fall.Things to do in Nevada City© 2013 InnSide Nevada City, Photos by Erin Thiem, Amber Magnola Hill (South Yuba River) and Katie White Photography (Scotts Flat Lake)

I’m with you, but having grown up here and then lived elsewhere, I think having a bigger view of the world helps me appreciate my hometown even more.
