Nevada County Air Show
While we leap into a holiday weekend here in Nevada County, mark your calendars for next weekend’s Nevada County Airfest, July 7 & 8, at the Nevada County Airport (KGOO). The two day event packs in lots of activities, kids activities, food court, pancake breakfast and more! Check out the Friday night Twlight Hangar party with live music by Lolo Gervais (5-10pm), displays of vintage aircraft, vehicles and the magic of Nick Fedoroff. Saturday is a full day of High Flying Family Fun (8am-4pm), with flying highlights with World War II vintage fighters, bombers and trainers and thrilling radio-controlled model airplane demonstrations. AirFest 2017 is hosted by the Golden Empire Flying Association, a non-profit organization that promotes growth, enjoyment and safety of aviation while raising money for scholarships and facilities improvements at the Nevada County Airport. You can buy tickets online or post a comment on this blog post and I’ve got 2 tickets to giveaway for the Saturday event, winners will be announced on Wednesday, July 5th. *Edited to say the winner is Diane Richards.

I love the airshow! My dad would take us every year, many good memories. I would love to go again!
The custom built experimental aircraft here at the show are really something to see, a lot from our own local area.
What an awesome event for a great purpose!
I’ve never attended this before! Looks like a lot of fun!
I would love two tickets for Saturday! Always imagined learning to fly, and would like to share my joy with my kids.
Looks like a great time!
I have fond memories of attending the air show, we try and make it out there every year. I’ve been going since my son was knee high to me (he’s now 18!). Loved seeing the Patriots jet last year, that was COOOOL!
My friend is visiting next weekend. It would be fun to take her!
Ooh! Eric and Julian would like to go!
What a great event for my visiting grandkids. They love airplanes!
This looks like a fantastic event!
I have never been to Nevada County Airfest! This look like a perfect venue to get to know my town! Thank you Erin for all your hard work and posts!!!
Thank you for the excellent blog. We always look here when making plans for the weekend!
