Nevada County Concert Band

The Nevada County Concert Band Picnic & Pops Concert in Pioneer Park series celebrated the Strange New Worlds last night with music from the last 100 years. The program included strange instruments, sounds and creatures, plus new places (step aboard a tall sailing ship or travel by caravan), plus outer space and Rio de Janiero’s carnavale. The free outdoor family friendly concert at Pioneer Park hosted 65 guest musicians to the 60 members of the Nevada County Concert Band. If you’ve missed the other 2 outdoor concerts, mark your calendars for Sunday, August 28th, the show is from 5-7pm. Thanks to Lazy Dog Ice Cream and Top Dog food trucks for serving up some tasty treats.
