Nevada County Growers Market

Nevada County Growers Market

Nevada County Growers Market at the Julia Morgan North Star House started their 2016 season last month, Saturday mornings 8am-12:30pm.  Begin your weekend off with the opportunity to buy local farm-fresh vegetables, fruit, local meat, bread, flowers, herbal products crafts and more. Live music every week, plus art activities for the children the first Saturday of every month and free metal works projects with Jerry LaFerriere on the third Saturday of the month, 9am-11am. Some of the vendors you can visit include: Starbright Acres Family Farm,  Yoon Chao Farm, The James RanchFamily Friendly RanchRefried Greens Pottery, Calolea Olive OilNana’s Artisan BakeryGuzzetti’s and Sierra Rizing, to name a few, click here for a full list of vendors.

Nevada County Certified Growers’ Markets are held seasonally from April through November in Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Penn Valley.  The Nevada City Farmers Market starts June 4th and it’s not too later to sign up for any number of local farm CSAs.  And it’s only a mater of time before my favorite Nevada City free veggie cart is back in “business.”  Feel free to leave a comment and share your support to local farmers.

I love your blog entries; usually pass them on to friends and family who invariably respond with, “Can’t wait to get there!”.

I love it that we can have fresh, local produce through the different markets more than half of the year. Thanks for promoting the local farmers and this market. Love the pictures!
