Nevada County Growers Market

Head out to the Nevada County Growers Market this morning, located at the North Star House in Grass Valley. The market is open Saturdays 8am till 12:30 till mid November. Fruit, veggies and other goodies from Nevada County and nearby areas. Today marks a special day for the Julia Morgan North Star House as part of a six week “Landmarks California: Julia Morgan 2102” Program by the California Cultural and Historic Endowment, a walking tour starts at 11am with additional information following. Rose Sponder, North Star Historic Conservancy Board Member says “Julia Morgan and Mary Hallock Foote were both incredible, pioneering women of their time, with notable ties to our community. It’s exciting to celebrate the spirits and legacies of both women with Julia Morgan 2012 festivities. We hope a lot of new folks come to The House between now and Nov. 17th to learn their stories.”
