Only 4 more days till Christmas!  Tonight is the final Nevada City Victorian Christmas (never too early to plan for 2017, the dates are: 12/3, 12/10, 12/13, 12/17 and 12/20) and Friday is the final Grass Valley Cornish Christmas.

Downtown Nevada City has 40 different merchants ranging from gifts, clothing, jewelry, locally made artisans, fine art, household items, toys and more!  Click here for past blog posts on shops.  And if you can’t decide try a gift certificate to a favorite restaurant.  Where’s your go to shopping spot?  Are you a last-minute shopper who will be coming to Victorian Christmas or did you do all your shopping last month?  I did admit over on the Inn Town Campground’s Instagram feed that I don’t like shopping, maybe you need to buy a gift certificate to come camping?

Although I do love the gift that keeps on giving; whether it’s a local wine club membership, a CSA to a farm, the Ol Republic Growler Club.  Or maybe you want to give someone an experiential gift; a guided fishing lesson, an art class, a ticket to a local concert, Chef’s Dinner at Tess’ Kitchen.  Maybe this holiday season you’d like to give a donation to one of the local non-profit organizations in our community in the name of a loved one.

And I’m not sure I have words yet to express my gratitude for the comments on this year’s Grateful Giveaway.  If you have not entered the end of the year giveaway, worth over $3000 with items from over 76 different businesses, now is the time to motivate, winner will be announced at noon on Christmas Day, now that would be one fabulous holiday present!  And the weather forecast may give us a few snowflakes this holiday weekend?  Photo below of one of my favorite Nevada City snow blog posts from December 2013.
