Nevada City Outside Inn Free Veggie Cart

The Outside Inn’s free veggie cart is a great example on why I love Nevada City.  The neighbors vegetable stand has been in front of the Outside Inn’s office for the last 7 summers and have as a loyal following, both by people who drop off extra fruits and veggies, to excited people who collect the bounty to its virtual fan club online.  I have written about the cart on the blog numerous times (click here, here, herehere or here), but honestly the story never gets old.  It’s an amazing example of something positive happening in our community.  I love watching the positive interactions, from the motorcycle dropping off a basket of tomatoes, the 5 gallon bucket of fruit delivery, to the excited County employees who take a cucumber on their walk around the block.  I often post photos on the Outside Inn’s Instagram account and you see my Flickr album with the colorful variety from the last 4 summers.  Have you been shopping at free stand?  Leave a comment on your favorite experience.  And, without further adieu, the winner of the Three Forks Bakery & Brewery giveaway is Sarah.

Without a doubt this is the most community oriented thing going on in town, for any and all, whether providing or taking away! I love how folks contribute and share!
