Outside Inn Free Veggie Cart

The summer bounty is overflowing at the Outside Inn’s free neighbor vegetable stand.  The cart is located in front of our office in downtown Nevada City and during the summer a variety of extra fruit and vegetables come and go all day long.  I love watching the range of items dropped off (pictured here are tomatoes, plums, nectaries, pears, peaches, squash and apples), but I also love the smile on the faces of the folks who stop by and take items home.  The free veggie cart is just another example of why I love our community.  For photos from previous years click here, here, here, here and here, plus click here to see how the famous cart won Nevada City a spot in the Outside Magazine Best Towns wild card contest and top 50 photos.
