Pete’s Pizza in downtown Grass Valley recently opened their expanded location and tap house.  Stone baked pizza, by the slice or whole pie, now located at 114 W. Main Street.  You can stop in and have a beverage, your choice of 14 draft beers, plus root beer and cider on tap and grab a meatball sub or salad.  Click here to check out their menu online.  Open 7 days a  week and open late.  If you haven’t been in yet, or want an excuse to go back, I’ve got a special giveaway to one lucky blog reader.  Post a comment here on your favorite pizza and one lucky person will win a $20 gift certificate and a Pete’s Pizza t-shirt, winner announced on Wednesday, June 3rd.

This sounds like a trick question. My favorite pizza is…pizza! No matter how you slice it, pizza is edible gold. (Although I think more people should slice theirs in squares like they do in Chicago. That’s cool.) I will close by saying, Pizza Forever!

What’s wrong with onions and bell peppers? I’m going to eat pizza with you and have extra onions and bell peppers 🙂

Hmmm. If we order pizza from Pete’s I don’t have to cook tonight. Great idea! How about veggie combination??!!

Oh, this sounds great. I’m so hungry right now that I had to stop everything and comment. But unless I win in the next 15 minutes, I’m going to have to go scrounge something up from my fridge. Seriously, we can’t have too many brew pubs…can’t wait to go check it out.

Sorry you didn’t win at that moment in time, and don’t worry the comments were making me hungry too (even the photos, and I ate some of the food in the photos). Love that you’re a fan of multiple brew pubs, cheers.

I don’t mean to be a contrarian but is there anything better than a good meatball sub sandwich ad a pint of great beer? That’s what I’ll be having!

Way to march to beat of your own drum, nothing wrong with a meatball sandwich (well maybe if you were a vegetarian). Cheers.

Well at least they’re expanding, instead of going out of business. I’ve certainly had those experiences where you discover the next best thing and then they’re gone.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been to the location in Nevada City, but not recently. Our favorite pizza is our special “pick your toppings” – mushrooms, black olives, spinach, artichoke hearts and pepperoni – red onions if we’re in the mood.

Mmmmm, I love the margherita – simple and delish. But the Mediterranean is another fave in this house! Good thing it’s almost pizza night 🙂

I think the best thing about this place( other than the pizza) is the name. It is very distinguished and denotes quality….what?… Just sayin

    Love the vegetarian pizza!
Also, can I just say that the employees at Petes Pizza are the sweetest? When our daughter was much smaller, they would bake a piece of pizza dough just for her, that was shaped into the letter ‘B.’ (Her name is Beau.) This made for one very happy little girl. Happy to support this place.
