Polly’s Paladar: Seven Deadly Sins
Polly’s Paladar, Nevada City’s supper club hosted chef Evan Coben from New York tonight for a decadent meal themed “Seven Deadly Sins.” The menu included Lust (French Kiss Oysters, Champagne), Wrath (Octopus Tentacles, Red Sex Tomatoes), Pride (New York Apple and Cheddar “Salad”), Sloth (Root Risotto, Braised Beef, Pruneaux d’Agen, Shiitake), Envy (various desserts), Greed (Gilded Turkish Delight, Liquid Tonka in “Milk”, Dragee “Sands”) and Gluttony (Chocolate, Tobacco, Port, Pine, Sea Salt). Each course was paired with its own unique beverage ranging from Prosecco to Vieux Carre. If you’re not hungry now, feast your eyes on some photos.
