Riverhill Farm
It’s berry season, so if you haven’t had a chance to visit Riverhill Farm, stop by for their u-pick berries. The farm stand is open on Wednesdays from 2-6pm and select Sundays (subscribe to their email to find how when), in addition to berries you can shop for locally grown organic vegetables. Riverhill Farm owner Alan Haight said, “Once blackberries and raspberries come in, we will be open each Sunday for a month or more, possibly as late as mid August. The best time would be the first or second week of July, when we’ll have strawberries, blackberries and raspberries.” The 10 acre farm was started in 2001 by Jo McProud and Alan Haight and today produces a mix of organic vegetables and fruits, this month they’ve had lettuce, cauliflower, kale, chard, fennel and beets, to name a few. You can also find them at the Nevada City Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Their weekly newsletter says, “Don’t miss our beautiful broccoli, crisp cabbage, radical radicchio and tres chic chicory!” And the winner of last week’s giveaway to the Inn Town Campground is Lindi.

Thanks for highlighting this great local farm!
One of my favorite places! Picking berries is a summer tradition for me. I live their farm card!
