Riverhill Farm Photo MeetUp

Riverhill Farm, Photos by Kial James Photography

In honor of Instagram’s Food theme Instameet, Kial James and I hosted another photo meet up (click here and here for previous photo walks).  Instagram organizes bi-annual events for photographers around the globe to get together, take photos and share them through the app, go check out #wwim14 to see what people are capturing this past weekend.  We thought meeting at Riverhill Farm would be a great way to celebrate organic farming.  Many thanks to Alan and Jo for hosting us, it was a treat to visit the Nevada City farm and see basil, cabbage, lettuce, peppers, strawberries, eggplant and lots more growing in abundance. We have gotten some great feedback from folks that they want another meetup, so watch this space, I’ll make sure to announce it on the blog, Instagram and on Facebook when we set a date for the next photo walk.  Photos in today’s blog post by Kial James, Jim Pyle, John Szymanski, Jason Scallin, Roseanne Burke, Monica Hughes and myself.  Check #wwim14nevadacity on Instagram for a few more photos.  Nevada City is such a great place to see the photos, you don’t need an organized photo walk to be inspired, just head outside and if you share them on Instagram please include #visitnevadacity so I can follow along.Riverhill Farm, Photos by Monica Hughes Riverhill Farm, Photos by Jim Pyle

Three cases of those gorgeous heritage tomatoes have been made in to tomato confit. lettuce, cabbage, summer squash, and other delve tables are being consumed daily. The photos remind me how glad we are to have River Hill Farm such a wonderful resource for our community! ❤️
