Save Our Ailing Planet
Have you been into Save Our Ailing Planet (SOAP)? Located behind SPD at 104 Argall Way the shop specializes in bulk eco-friendly cleaners, soaps, shampoos and more. The Outside Inn has been using the Shikai shampoo and conditioner, Biokleen laundry detergent and a variety of other eco-friendly bulk cleaning products for years. But did you know you can go into SOAP and make your own bath salts, shower scrubs or spritzers? The staff is happy to set up the ingredients and walk you through the process, make one or a dozen, either purchase one of their many glass jars or bring in your own and buy the ingredients by weight. I made a shower scrub with Pacific sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil and I’m giving it away! Post a comment on this blog post about your favorite natural body care product. Plus, Lori Largent, owner of SOAP, has also offered up five 15% off coupons to readers of the Outside Inn’s blog, great opportunity to go in and try making your own bath salt or something else. I’ll draw the winners on Wednesday, August 29th, shower scrub and spritzer must be picked up at the Outside Inn office.

That scrub sounds great! I like to use honey as a natural mask, also good mixed with oats 🙂
Sounds yummy!
I love your blog and all your give-a-ways. I think it so awesome that you feature so many local businesses in our community. the scrub sounds nice.. I personally love a good soak.. so bath salts are my thing. Hope I win so I can try that spritz too.
Brilliant and encouraging to read, thank you! I agree with Marci oats are great with honey – and oooh those lovely apothecary jars!. xo
I agree, the jars are the most fun! Thanks for the many fun giveaways Erin!
my favorite right now is the mid-evil all-purpose household spray lori made for me. it smells divine, and makes my entire house feel sparkly. ask her to make you some! she can also make amazing hand soaps, just tell her what you like and she whips it up proper! love SOAP!
i’ve been meaning to get over there and check this place out!
