Sierra Festival of Arts
Did you make it the Sierra Festival of Arts today? Organized by the Grass Valley Downtown Association the all day event included over 40 artists, music and food stalls. Local artist Roseanne Burke commented that there “were lots of great activities for the kids,” include painting by The Artist Workshop, clay by Mud Hut at ASiF Studios and a mural that will be on display at the next event. Sierra Festival of the Arts juror Moira McLaughlin said the event had lots of “great energy.” While I only managed to capture some of the artists, there are photos of works by Art Discovered, Roseanne Burke, Ruth Chase, Neighborhood Center of the Arts, Krista Tranquilla Studio, Nevada County Makes, Katie Wolff, Jane Kiskaddon and Schad Studio. It’s always great to have an event where you can connect with local organizations, catch up with friends and support the local merchants. Did you have a favorite booth?

It was great to get out and connect with other artists in our community and see what they are up to. The day couldn’t have been more perfect.
I’m sorry I missed your demo, looked like a lot of fun.
Hi Erin, So that’s what you were up to. I immediately contacted my “outlaws” to see if they could still change there June reservations to stay at the OUTSIDE INN. It looks wonderful and what a Great, welcoming, homespun website. Nice meeting you on the run. Thanks for the mention.

Thanks for the comment and the nod of confidence for my speed mission (young assistants are not always so forgiving for lots of chit chat). We’d love to have your Outlaws at the Outside Inn.
It was a great day. Thanks for the quote and the beautiful coverage of the event.
Now only if I’d had time to drink a glass of wine with you at Smith Vineyards, rain check?
Hi Erin! Thanks for the beautiful photo of my shawl. It was nice to see YOU, too.
Can’t wait to hear more about your work in downtown Nevada City.
It was a beautiful day! It was so fun to see so many old and new friends! I even met a few of my “facebook” friends!
Again, many thanks for doing such a great job featuring the “riches” of Nevada County Erin!
