Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters
Looking for a place to meet a friend for a coffee? Perhaps you need a new second hand book? Stop by Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters on Maltman Drive in Grass Valley. Open Monday through Friday 7am-5pm and 8am-3pm on Saturday, the bustling coffee shop offers great coffee roasted on site. Tomes, the second hand book store connected to the coffee shop, hosts a large selection of used books, ranging in topics from local authors, crafts, literature and history. Be sure to check their calendar for upcoming events and poetry readings. Sandy, the owner of Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters, has offered up 3 lucky InnSide Nevada City blog readers a latte and a scone, please post a comment on your favorite type of coffee drink and I’ll announce the winners on Friday, February 15th.

My favorite drink at Sierra Mountain is their delicious latte. Recently I worked on a fund raising event for a cancer patient. Sandy supplied the coffee for free.
Larry, so great to hear… I should’ve asked you for a fun latte photo, you probably have a whole stash… well if you win the latte then I definitely want a photo 🙂
SMCR is my weekly stop for whole beans! But I love a midday cappuccino…and Sandy’s baked goods are divine.
Have you seen the cupcakes? We’re all in trouble.
from the second I walk in the door – an instant feel of relaxation and warmth envelopes me….books, coffee…people chatting…kids laughing….postings on the bulletin board and of course the amazing smell of coffee smothering me – in a good way!
oh an my favorite coffee drink…well that would be just straight up JOE and real MILK or 1/2 & 1/2
And you can have the mug that says “Good Mom”
Meeting friends there for a morning coffee is a GREAT way to start the weekend and I love that it’s also a book store!
Funny who you run into in this town… Although I guess I did drag you in, kicking and screaming, ha ha. Glad I could introduce you to another Nevada County treasure.
Mmm black and white mocha!
Yum
Favorite coffee drink? 12 oz. double latté with 2% milk
Any treats to go with it?
Double Americano with a bit of fresh lemon squeezed on top!
Oh that sounds delicious, never thought of adding lemon to my coffee.
Vanilla latte or chai- can you deliver? ????
Nope, you’ll have to get on a plane my friend.
Skinny decaf latte! Love this place!
I love the idea of drinking coffee surrounded by so many books.
I like mixing/matching from the coffee urns. Especially any of the Central American blends, the two Yemen blends, or the Peruvian-Brasilian blend. A shot of some powerful French is always good if this Froggy’s a little too-groggy…

Sounds like a science experiment, but fun, nonetheless.
Looks like a fabulous coffee shop:)
Oh there are so many local choices, come visit Amy, I’ll take you to them all!
A mocha is my favorite coffee drink.
Sounds like a great option.
Americano with cream and one of the yummy little cupcakes to go with it.
