Sierra Stages “A New Brain”

Sierra Stages opens their new production, “A New Brain” this week at the Nevada Theatre, a musical comedy about life, love and brain disease.  The play is based on the real life experience of composer William Finn and brings laughter to the subject of mortality through songs “Poor, Unsuccessful and Fat,” “Heart and Music” and “Change.”  Directed by Robert Rossman and Jailyn Tafolla, Music Direction by Ken Getz and starting actors Brian Arsenault, Jay Baker, Heidi Grass, Kate Haight, Jonathon Hansard, Michaela King, Heather Lucas-Ross, Kevin Lucas-Ross, Ken Miele and Sarah Noah.  The play opens tonight with a preview night and runs through March 17th.  Celebrate Sierra Stages’ 10th anniversary with this the first of three shows, you can always buy a season pass if you’re interested in attending the other productions (James and the Giant Peach, July 14 – Aug. 4 and “You Can’t Take It With You”, Sept. 20 – Oct. 6).   If you’re like to see “A New Brain” post a comment here and one lucky reader will win a pair of tickets to a show March 9th, 10th or 11th).  Winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 7th.  *Edited to say the winner is Judith.
