Sierra Stages presents Chicago

Sierra Stages opens their summer production of Chicago today at the historic Nevada Theatre. After 5 years of trying to secure the licensing rights for the hit Broadway play, Sierra Stages is excited to bring the musical to Nevada City. The play is directed by Robert Rossman, choreography by George Jayne, music direction by Ken Getz, lighting design by Erin Beatie & Devin Jewett and Scenic Design by Peter Mason. The all-local cast of “Chicago” includes Kate Haight, Jacquelynn Kolenko, Jonathan Hansard, Sara Noah, Micah Cone, Janet Oliphant Rossman, Trish Adair, Erin Beatie, Audrey Delgado, Heidi Grass, Tina Marie Kelly, Michaela King, Heather Lucas-Ross, Hailey Patrick, Kimberly Shepard, Angela Williams, Elliot Childs, Chase Coney, Kris Meadows, and Jonathan Willis. While many of the cast members have appeared in previous Sierra Stages productions, there are several new faces as well. The cast will be accompanied by a live on-stage band consisting of 16 Nevada County musicians.

The show has Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances through August 5th and Sunday matinée through July 30th.
