Sierra Stages: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Sierra Stages opens their new production Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike tonight at the historic Nevada Theatre. The 2013 Tony Award for Best Play is a laugh out loud comedy full of humor and drama. The family sagas plays out in a Pennsylvania farmhouse when movie star Masha shows up to visit her brother Vanya and adopted sister Sonia. Please note the play includes strong language and may not be suitable for younger audiences. The Sierra Stages adaptation is directed by Jeffrey Mason and staring Casey Burke, Susan Mason, Robert Rossman, Karen Leigh Sharp, Rachel Wellman and Sharon Winegar. The play runs today through March 28th, tickets on sale online. Want to win a pair of tickets? The Outside Inn’s blog has 2 tickets*, please post a comment on the blog on what play you think Sierra Stages should bring to Nevada County and I’ll announce the winner on Monday, March 9th.

This sounds like a fun play! Not sure what they should do in the future, but I always love a good comedy.
I’d love to see an adaptation of one of Steinbeck’s works. “The Pastures of Heaven” was adapted by playwright Octavio Solis and I’ve heard it’s fabulous.
Kinky Boots!
I can hardly wait to see this show. My cousin Susan Mason is in it and her husband Jeff is directing.
I would LOVE to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch come to town!!!
How about “Vino Veritas”? The movie adapted from the play was great.
