The 27th Storytelling Festival is coming to the North Columbia Schoolhouse on July 27th-29th.  The weekend event features, Brenda Wong AokiWilly ClaflinSlash ColemanDonald DavisOlga Loya, and Kim Weitkamp.  Or perhaps you’d like to participate, the Friday Evening Story Slam is open to anyone (via lottery) who has a five-minute story to tell based onthe theme “Supernatural”. It is free to enter the competition. Attendees may come just for that event at a price of $3.  Bring the family, a picnic and listen to internationally known storytellers.  The Outside Inn’s blog InnSide Nevada City has teamed up with the North Columbia Schoolhouse to give away two free session passes.  (* Pass good for one session only, Friday evening, Saturday Day, Saturday Night or Sunday, or can be used for a $20 discount for a weekend pass).  Please post a comment on this blog post and I will draw a lucky winner Friday, July 20th.

Facts and fiction are sure to delight at the Storytelling Festival. I’d love to plan a weekend getaway to hear the touching, humorous and outlandish stories. I’ll research and plan, picking good eats along the way plus a wonderful inn to complete my stay.

I can attest that this is a truly awesome event, great for the whole family. It’ll make you laugh, cry and in absolute wonderment as to how these folks can pick you up and take you away so completely. Thanks for doing a ticket giveaway, Erin! I’ll be there the whole weekend!
