Sierra Vintners Wine Trail
The Sierra Vintners wine trail series starts this Saturday, May 20th. The regional wine tour will include: Double Oak Vineyards & Winery, Lucchesi Vineyards & Winery, Nevada City Winery, Smith Vineyard and Solune Winegrowers. Each winery will have music, food pairings and plenty of wines to taste. Stop by any one of the six participating wineries on Saturday, May 20th between 11am-5pm.
In addition to wine tastings, Brian Doughtery will be playing live music at Smith Vineyards. Nevada City Winery is also having their bottle your own party on Saturday. Double Oak Vineyards will have local singer song writer Heather MacAdam, plus savory tapas. Lucchesi Vineyards will have live music from Cassidy Joy, Jeannine Bordeaux, Caryn Wilder, Phil Missimore, and friends. Plus, Mario & Linda will have fun Lucchesi games tradition of hula tossing and steer roping to win deep wine discounts.
To purchase your tickets online purchase click here, discounted tickets available for wine club members.
There are 20 wineries on the entire trail, so Sierra Vintners wineries have divided into three separate Saturday regional wine trails to enable you to enjoy plenty of time at each winery. If you can’t make the May wine tour mark your calendars for July 15th: Amour Privé, Bear River Winery, Bonitata Boutique Wine, Fawnridge Winery, Lone Buffalo Vineyards & Winery, Mt. Vernon Winery, Naggiar Vineyards, Sierra Knolls Vineyards, and Viña Castellano. September 23rd event will include: Avanguardia Wine, Bent Metal Winery, Gray Pine Winery, Pilot Peak Vineyard & Winery & Szabo Vineyards. Take advantage of the package deal to get the discounted rate for buying all three tours together!
So cheers to lots of great local wines. If you’re looking for more information about Nevada City and Grass Valley wine tasting rooms or events, click here for the Outside Inn info page.
