Smith Vineyard
Smith Vineyard is hosting their annual fall harvest Open House at their vineyards. Located at 13719 Dog Bar Road in Grass Valley, go visit the organic estate grown vineyard either Saturday October 11th, 18th or 25th between 12-4pm for an opportunity to taste their latest releases. Bring a friend, a picnic, pick a pumpkin, listen to live music and enjoy the fall colors while drinking a glass of Primitivo or Christina’s blush. If you can’t make it out the winery, feel free to visit the Smith Vineyard downtown tasting room and enjoy a cheese platter and catch up with a friend. Our local winery of choice is Pilot Peak. They have a variety of wines and the owners are very friendly and generous to the community. Our favorite event has been the Fire Safe Council’s Wine and Culinary fundraiser held in June. Until last year they were held at the Pilot Peak Winery, this year at the North Star House. But Pilot Peak was there serving their wine.
