Nevada City Walking TrailsWhile we wait for the rain to return to California, why not head outside and soak up the sunshine.  Snow Mountain NID trail is one mile up Highway 20 and offers a level easy hike along the irrigation ditch.  So grab your bike, your kid, the dog and hit the trail!  Look for the turn out on the right hand side of Highway 20 heading east, the street Steep Hill Court is on the right, but the easier land mark is the power line in the middle of the turn out.  Or if you’re on your bike start the loop off Coyote Street and come back into town via Willow Valley Road.  So many outdoor adventures to do while we all wait for the return of winter, I figured if I shared a few of them here on the blog, then hopefully the rain will come sooner?  And for those of you out of town, if you missed my winter specials, click here for the details and call us today to book a room.  For those of you who need more directions or information, please feel free to stop by the Outside Inn’s office for a free local trail map. I have to say one of my favorite local hiking spots is the 1/2 mile from my driveway to the mailboxes BUT the NID trail near Cascade Shores is really a pleasure. I love being able to walk alongside some streaming water and among the trees.
