Spring Flowers, Mardi Gras and updates
Spring fever in February in Nevada City. I’m still hoping that winter returns, but in the mean time I’m pleasantly surprised by these warm temperatures and the beautiful flowers blooming around town. Before we know it the wildflowers will be out at Buttermilk Bend Trail and we’ll all be hanging out at the South Yuba River. I updated this week’s weekly events board if you’re looking for something to do this weekend. If you’re still looking for Valentine’s Day ideas, check out last week’s love blog post or my Pinterest board for local ideas and suggestions. And for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Nevada City Mardi Gras celebration check out my blog posts from previous years (Mardi Gras 2014, Mardi Gras 2013, Mardi Gras 2012, Mardi Gras 2011). We are looking forward to Sunday’s parade at 2pm, the weather will be a lot drier then last year, look for the Outside Inn’s Soapbox Derby car rowing down Broad Street.
And for those of you who don’t follow the Inn Town Campground’s blog (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter), click here to read our latest update on the project.
And one last update, I recently attended a fun workshop about Instagram and I’d love to see folks use the hashtag #VisitNevadaCity to showcase why they love this community.
