Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!  Lots going on this time of the year, click here to check out my weekly events page.  If you’re looking for a family friendly activity this holiday weekend check out the festivities at Empire Mine, Cornish Christmas (Friday 6-9pm) or the new Legacy Presents show of Scrooge.

Or maybe you want to be a part of the #OptOutside movement, you can join the Michael Bratton Turkey Trot, Bear Yuba Land Trust Turkey Trek or the Folk Trails Hike Club South Yuba Trail hike or take a walk down to the Deer Creek Tribute Trail.

If you’re going to start your holiday shopping there are a number of ways to support local artists this weekend, stop by the Country Christmas Faire, LeeAnn Brook Fine Art Gallery, Osborn Woods GallerySmallworks show at ASiF Gallery, Methodist Church Craft Fair or remember to support your local shops.  If you’re looking for more local art fairs, click here for a recent round-up of holiday events.  Maybe you’re going to spend the weekend picking out a Nevada County grown Christmas tree or tasting flights of local wines?  Or maybe your weekend includes a concert (The Center for the Arts, Crazy Horse Saloon), Reader’s Theatre or ski movie?  Plenty of fun in December, mark your calendars for Nevada City’s Victorian Christmas (December 4th, 11th, 14th, 18th and 21st), Nevada City Craft Fair (December 11th),  And I just might have another over the top huge blog giveaway… coming soon.
