Emily’s cupcakes !!! So good!
Good to read “what’s available & where.” Looking forward to Emily’s pop up event.
We love leftovers so if we go to family for Thanksgiving day I cook a turkey so we can have sandwiches and turkey soup!
Our Thanksgiving tradition is waking up grateful that we live in the best county there is, especially during the holidays. ♥️
❤️❤️❤️
Cupcakes. My tradition is to make a full Thanksgiving meal the week after Thanksgiving since we travel to see family for the holiday. That way we get leftovers!
Who can resist a left over turkey sandwich with all the fixings?
WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
The local chapter of Sidewalk Talk offers free listening. We make heartfelt connections, listening without judgment or opinions. Trained volunteers will set up chairs Friday, Nov. 22 in front of Grocery Outlet 3pm to 5pm; Saturday, Nov. 23 at Market at Grass Valley Northstar House 8am to noon; Thanksgiving Day in front of KVMR downtown Nevada City 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Help us practice our listening skills.
Sounds like fun, were they set up on Broad Street in front of Java John’s before?
We chop veggies and watch the parade together (and cupcakes would be a welcome addition to the tradition ;)).
Why not, is always the answer
Turkey Trot and meal with family and friends.
Always fun to see your crew at the starting line!
Thanksgiving weekend in Nevada County for our family for the last 37 years is always special. Sometimes we join friends but lately we have a family gathering – this year my son comes home again from college so looking forward to that. School and work usually go right up to the day and this year is no exception. We all recharge with good food and a walk is always in order of some sort. It probably is our most relaxed holiday of the year. Depending on power, the turkey might get cooked in Davis this year at my son’s house!
Good food and a walk sound perfect!
Lots of things to choose from in our area! I love seeing the craft fairs!
I’ve checked out Emily’s Catering Pop Up Bakery before…. she offers awesome goodies!
Hope you make it to several craft fairs… you never know what you will find.
We always go to the movies!!!
Fun!!! That hasn’t been our family tradition, but I am sure our kids would like to adopt that one.
Usually we helped prepare food for a community meal and then gathered for a smaller potluck of old friends. With my sons on the east coast now, we reminisce by phone and start new traditions or variations. Gratitude is utmost in our conversations!
Thanksgiving is a day for family. These are the days that are hard to get through without having my mom with us anymore, but for those with us, we continue through it and keep up the turkey and pumpkin pie traditions.
Bratton Turkey trot & Christmas faire for hand carved wood spatula, olives, ceramic mug and hand painted Christmas ornament.
Gorgeous grilled turkey! Whose work of art was that? Nice share about Emily’s.
Some campers at the campground for a Friendsgiving.
