The Curly Wolf Espresso House

There’s a new coffee shop in town called The Curly Wolf, located at 217 Broad Street.  Stop in, sample some amazing Cafe Vita coffee made on their custom Slayer Espresso machine.  The Curly Wolf is open seven days a week from 8am till midnight with a 2am closure on Fridays and Saturdays.  A light menu of snacks and select salads from In the Kitchen available, so stop by and refuel.  Owner Josh Henry has offered one Innside Nevada City blog reader a free latte, post a comment on this post on your favorite coffee drink and I’ll post  the winner next Monday, July 16th.

I am soooo excited about this new coffee shop! My husband and I always wonder why nothing is open later into the evening for us locals as well as the tourists, and now there is!!!! Looks like a really cool vibe and I can’t wait to drop in and say hi.

I love vanilla soy milk lattes. A little shot of soy, a little sweet and creamy: good any time of day, any time of year.

Josh invented a drink called the “Summer Wolf” which is a cross between a Vietnamese iced coffee and a Cuban coffee. It’s similar to drinking coffee ice cream and it’s delicious and very aesthetically pleasing served in ball canning jars with ice. That drink had me wide-eyed until midnight!

I’m from Seattle. I have been praying for some real NW quality coffee prepared by baristas who know their stuff. My prayers have been answered!!! I have been drinking Cafe Vita since I was a teenager in the 90s on Capitol hill. I can’t tell you how excited I am!!! I will be a regular, for sure <3

I was so excited about them opening that I camped out on the stoop of the front door in anticipation. “The Slayer” is a sure indication that these folks are serious about their espresso. Just have Stefan make you a drink and you’ll soon realize that coffee is an art — a way of life even — and not just some jitter-bug ‘drank’.

Pete is there too! A couple of amazing baristas + a top-of-the-line machine = best coffee in town.

This little place is such a refreshing addition to the coffee scene in Nevada City. Great baristas, great coffee, great selection and prices. They have the best Flat White I’ve had outside New Zealand:)

Just what Nevada City needs- a true late night spot! I’d love to lie down on one of their plush velvety chaise lounges and sip me a drink of their coconut flavored loose tea with almond milk- straight up!
