Miners Foundry and Sierra Stages Theater by the Book

The Miners Foundry and Sierra Stages have teamed up to bring Nevada City a series of informal play readings.  Last night’s production was the Pursuit of Truth, written and directed by Jeffrey Mason.  Mark you calendars for next month’s play, Becky’s New Car, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Ken Getz on Wednesday, October 22nd.  The Outside Inn’s blog has a pair of free tickets to giveaway, post a comment here and I’ll draw the winner on Wednesday, October 1st.   Do you prefer the big Nevada Theatre productions, smaller Off Center Stage shows or the outdoor venues like Burton Homestead or North Star House?   What’s the favorite theater performance you’ve seen locally?

It’s been a number of years but I really liked the production of “Philadelphia Story”. It’s one of my favorite old movies. I much prefer the relative “comfort” of the Nevada Theatre.
