Treats Sundaes
Treats, 110 York Street in Nevada City is well-known for their ice cream, sorbet and sweet treats, but today they’ve just launched a new product, Sundaes to Go. Each week there will a new special pre-packaged with a scoop of ice cream, plus several toppings in an easy to grab and go package. In honor of today’s World Cup soccer the first sundae will be red, white and blue theme with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and blueberries. Future combos may include: Salt Carmel gelato, caramel sauce and pecans, S’mores Sundae with marshmallows, graham crackers chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. Or perhaps you’d like a lemon custard ice cream and fruity sorbet with strawberry or peach sauce or a strawberry ice cream with nutella? If you’re organizing a party or a birthday celebration this summer, stop by Treats and put your order in for a special order. The Outside Inn’s blog has a giveaway, please post your comment on the Sundae to Go suggestion and I’ll draw the winner for two $5 gift certificates on Friday, July 4th. Remember Treats is open seven days a week from noon till 9pm and till 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and during the summer months York Street will be closed 6- 10 pm for a cafe scene in the middle of the street. And if you’re not in the mood for a sundae (either to go or to have at Treats), grab an ice cream, an affogato, sorbet freeze or a root beer float?
Such a yummy idea! Anything with your special mint chip sounds AMAZING to me!!
Can, I can see the mint special, mint ice cream, mint chips and what else??
We’ll work on that idea
Oh man that looks delish! When we came to Nevada City for a weekend visit we managed to sneak in two trips. It’s such a cute yummy little place!
Love that, but kids have the best ability to figure out the best places and tell you why you need to go back, why am I not surprised?
That looks amazing!
Agreed! And to think I didn’t eat them while I photographed them…..
Just give me some of that good old fashioned coffee gelato with choco chip flakes. Treats does is so well. I bet the sundaes to go will be yummy!
Maybe add a little chocolate sauce? So glad you’re not throwing in the veggies to this sundae!
Thanks for the love!
Ice cream, sorbet, shaved ice, frozen yogurt, snow cone, milk shake/malt are in my top five of guilty pleasures.
Ice cream is the most welcomed treat to reward myself after a good hike!
Everything in the photos looks so good and refreshing, especially anytime during the hot summer days and nights!
Come for a visit and sample 🙂
How about something with the banana and bourbon breakfast combo and caramel. It’ll kinda taste like a banana’s foster. Drooling thinking about it.
I’m a fan of anything with the carmel, but this sounds like a great idea.
Oh Yea
Love the Sundae idea!! They all sound yummy.
Good thing we’re working on burning off those extra calories… so we can go enjoy our ice cream guilt free 🙂
My absolute favorite ice cream!
yummy
That blackberry sorbet is amazing. Maybe with some dark chocolate?
These all look delicious! I’d love to try the salted caramel gelato!
I love fruit on ice cream, so maybe fresh sliced peaches on vanilla ice cream topped with some slivered almonds would be my Sundae to Go suggestion!
It is peach season. Sounds wonderful
If you’re an alcoholic and a vegetarian look away………I mean it. Look away……How about an AA Sundae with a scoop of the Bourbon Breakfast on a waffle cone with sugared bacon bits and caramel?
Well thankfully I am neither a vegetarian or alcoholic, so I can appreciate this fine suggestion of flavors… I’m sure Peggy & Bob could work their wonders and make a vegan alternative though.
Now that could be interesting.
Oh Lordy that sounds wonderful
Most of my son’s special accomplishments are celebrated with a treat from Treats!
How about a chocolate obsession sundae! Chocolate ice cream & hot fudge layered and topped w/ chocolate cookies….Mmmmmmm
Love to find a local provider of the classic Fenton’s Black and Tan, chocolate fudge, vanilla and toasted almond ice cream and caramel sauce,
We could make that up for you just ask!
I tried the violet flavor for the first time last week. So good!
