Nevada City Uncorked
Uncorked, the Nevada City wine and food experience, took place today throughout downtown. Forty different businesses participated in the fourth annual event, with local Foothill wines and samples from a variety of restaurants. The event is organized by the Nevada City Chamber and the Sierra Vintners. Many thanks to the businesses who welcomed wine lovers to come in and sample, it was a great way to visit downtown establishments. Wineries included: Avanguardia Wines, Bear River Winery, Bent Metal Winery, Chacewater Winery, Clavey Vineyards, Coufos Cellars, Double Oak Vineyards, Fawnridge Winery, Lone Buffalo Vineyards, Lucchesi Vineyards, Montoliva Vineyard, Nevada City Winery, Pilot Peak Winery, Sierra Knolls Winery, Smith Vineyard, Solune Winery, Szabo Vineyards, Vina Castellano Winery and beers from Ol’ Republic Brewery and Three Forks Brewery. The farm to table theme for the food pairings were represented by Way Yum Sushi, Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe, Diego’s, Sopa Thai, Jardin del Rio, SPD, Conscious Catering, Harmony Ridge Market, Summer Thyme’s, Nevada City Classic, The National, Lefty’s Grill, Bistro 221, Three Forks, Crazy Horse, Beach Hut Deli, Farm to Table Catering, Pleasant Valley Grill and Matteo’s Public. With so much excitement in town this weekend with the Nevada City Film Festival and the First Friday Art Walk it was great to stroll the streets and try new releases from the local vintners while catching up with friends. Did you discover a new favorite wine or beer? Post a comment and share. Cheers!
Looks like an amazing event!
