My favorite cheese? The cheese in front of me… or everything Bodega Pastures makes… and a good aged Irish Whiskey Cheddars is pretty awesome too… looking forward to Wheyward Girls!
Love it, anything in front of you is a great answer.
I love a triple cream brie or really sharp cheddar myself but when I need comfort cheese, I look for gjetost cheese. It reminds me of my mother and her Scandinavian roots. Thanks for sharing this, I’m looking forward to stopping in.
Love the idea that we’ll be able to think about faraway places without having to go far….
I’m looking forward to this new addition to Nevada City! I can’t wait to go check it out.
Within walking distance might be too tempting for both of us!
I love brie topped with a mixture of chopped walnuts, brown sugar, and vanilla, then baked. Great snack. Looking forward to trying out some new cheeses though.
YOU had me at CHEESE!!! Yes please. I want lunch from there. Cannot wait to take the hubs
hold that thought… my favorite cheese, ANY!!!! Love them all. Blue, Guyere, Swiss, Havarit, yellow… goat… ALL CHEESE!
Hello. Is it brie you’re looking for?
Just about any cheese will do, thank you. Looking forward to exploring this store.
Goat or bleu cheese! But really, any cheese! Excited to try this place 🙂
Erin?! Such a hard question : ) can’t wait to visit the girls at wheyward creamery!
Bleu..tangy,soft, creamy..
I love a good blue cheese.
Love, love, love the cheeses that come out of Point Reyes. So happy to have a fun, new, delicious place to try out in our area. Favorite cheese? I honestly don’t think I’ve ever met one I didn’t like!
Nice job on the enticing photos, Erin. I have been following Wheyward Girls progress and so looking forward to their opening! I’ve been in a cheese rut, so it will be very nice to sample my way to some new favorites!
My favorite kind of cheese is anything in front of me! So excited. Can’t wait to pick up some fresh locally made stuff but will gladly swing by the shop for some Point Reyes Blue!
I’ve never met a cheese I didn’t love! My most favorite cheeses are triple creams, tangy hard cheeses, and goat cheese. I’m so excited to support a LOCAL CREAMERY!!! Their name is the best!!
The picture of the Bayley hazen blue cheese is one I’d like to try. I’ll be stopping in soon to promote local business, say hello to Roberta who I’ve met at Gardening Goddesses meetups and of course to fill up on cheese!
Humbolt fog would be pretty high on that list.
Thanks for the heads up about Wheyward girls. Sounds like a good place for lunch today.
Oh, yum. So many good cheeses. Brie. Sharp cheddar. Havarti.
Thank you for the giveaway, Erin!
Erin- you’re always such a promoter of town. From Wales my mouth is watering. I will definitely try their blue cheses first.
What a great addition to Nevada County! My favorite cheese is Cowgirl Creamery’s Red Hawk.
Lol, I like the comment, any cheese you put in front of me, but if I had to choose I’m really into havarti right now.
We took Cowgirl Creamery’s St. Pat (favorite!), a sourdough baguette, some fruit, and a nice bottle of wine to the beach at Pt. Reyes a couple of months ago. The perfect picnic. Can’t wait to do the same with local cheese at the Yuba River!
Cotswold is my favorite cheese! Hope they’ll have a real clotted cream sometime!
I really hope they offer some goat and or sheep cheese options! Thanks Erin for continuing to keeping us apprised of all the things going on around town!
I’m in love with Tillamook’s White Cheddar Garlic cheese right now, but I love trying any type of cheese with a good glass of wine!
Oh the Fiscalini cheddar just melts in your, mouth ! Thanks Ro for stocking it
These comments are making me so hungry, that sounds delicious.
what is that cheese – cheddar with chives – glouchester? So good, my mouth is watering. What would life be without cheese, crusty bread, red wine, and chocolate? Ok I’ll throw in some good seasonal fruit, too.
Sharp cheddar is better,
Cheese is so yummy and I’m so excited to try them out! If I have to pick one for my favorite it would have to be a good Brie! I hope they will be making some because I’ll be in to try and buy! 🙂
It’s between Gorgonzola and Irish cheddar.
I just purchased some Mahon from Spain, it was wonderful with their olive oil crackers. We are so lucky Wheyward Girls opened in our wonderful town!
All of these comments are making me hungry, sounds like a great combo.
I love a good Dubliner cheese but growing up close to the Marin French Cheese Factory, a good camembert or brie is delicious. The stinkier the better.
Cheese…. I couldn’t possibly pick just one or two favorites. I love them all. A lot of the time, cheese crackers and nuts are my dinner. 🙂
I love answers like this…. sounds like the grab and go bag will be perfect for you.
Just purchased 3 great cheeses but the Gouda with the crunch is amazing
Congratulations on your opening! Can’t wait to stop by. My favorite cheese is Cowgirl Creamery’s Humboldt Fog. It drives me NUTS it is so good! 🙂
I am a huge humboldt fog fan, thanks for commenting.
Manchego from Spain!
Pierre Robert – it’s like butter!
The world of cheese is a big place (thank goodness) but having to choose just one I’d go with an extra sharp cheddar 🙂
I don’t discriminate – I like all cheese but there is something about smoked Gouda that I do love! Also sharp cheddar – yellow or white! Of course, there may be a cheese that I love that I just haven’t tried yet!! Maybe the Wheyward Girl Creamery is just what I need to find out!!
All cheese is awesome, in my opinion. My favorites are probably Cypress Grove’s Humboldt Fog (as many before have mentioned) as well as their Truffle Tremor and PsycheDillic and anything produced by Pennyroyal Farms in Anderson Valley — especially their Laychee which works with anything.
