Wild and Scenic Film Festival Artist Showcase

Nevada City Artist Showcase, Wild and Scenic Film Festival

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is coming to town and Nevada City has turned into an art gallery.  The film festival in collaboration with Nevada County Arts has brought over 60 local and visiting artists.  The works are being showcased  in venues ranging from New Moon, Mowen Solinisky Gallery, Miners Foundry, Scotch Broom, Matteo’s Public and Kitkitdizzi.  The theme for this year’s festival is Climate Change and the varying mediums of work illuminate this theme in a range of ways.  Check out the art and wine stroll on Saturday afternoon, or pop into any one of the locations through out town and soak up the amazing talent on display.  Photos in today’s post spotlight artists: Art of the Wild, LeeAnn Brook, Phil Brown, Sheila Cameron, Sarah Coleman and Tahiti Pehrson, Kenna Foster, Jeff LittonDylan McConnell, Terra Nyssa, Richard Swayze, Amy Yerman and Katherine Schad.

Erin, your blog continues to be the pulse of Nevada City, in such a unique way with your wonderful photography. Thank you for taking the time to visit the many venues that are exhibiting art on the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, and photograph the work in its setting. This important aspect not only calls attention to the size and scale of the artworks, but also the beautiful settings of our local businesses. Thank you for taking things “one step further”.
