The South Yuba River is one of the great assets in our community, so let’s all do our part to preserve, protect and enjoy the river. You can meet one of the River Ambassador volunteers at Bridgeport, 49, Purdon and Edwards Crossings each weekend through August.

These are great photos and really capture the beauty and wildness of the river. The best part about the Yuba is the fact that there are quiet places that aren’t too hard to get to where you can enjoy the water and sun and the incredible beauty.
I love the Yuba because of the “magic” she holds. It seems like no matter how bad a day you might be having, sticking your toe in her crisp blue/green waters will cheer you up.
Beautiful and peaceful getaway..
Gorgeous blog!!
for me – underwater love! Bubble curtains, amazing visibility, swimming in and out of current to the still places and back in the rush and movement, through tunnels, swooosh, and then a warm granite rock to recharge body heat and head right back in!!
I’ll second Ingrid. The quiet the Yuba brings is a huge gift 🙂
I love being so close to this river. The hiking, the swimming holes, the habitat, the pride I take in knowing it’s in “my house”….. just a few of the reasons why I will always have a special place in my heart and soul for South Yuba River. Thank you SYRCL and Outside Inn for being such great stewards and ambassadors of this local treasure…. and thank you to the PHOTOGRAPHERS who contributed their work to this blog. Mind. Blown.
