Upcoming Film Festivals

The Backcountry Film Festival returns to Nevada City tonight, 7pm at the Nevada Theatre, a fundraiser for the local non-profit organization Snowlands Network.  It will be an action packed evening with films by Sweetgrass Productions, Powderwhore and Switchback Entertainment, to name a few, and refreshements by Boy Scouts Troop 24.  For a preview, click here for the trailer.  If for some reason ski films aren’t your thing, you can check out the Reel Rock Tour, a collection of shorts about rock climbing, this Friday, December 20th at the Miners Foundry.  And the Wild & Scenic Film Festival just released the full list of upcoming films, click here to start planning your film festival weekend.  So many opportunities to see amazing films right here in Nevada City, and you never know who you might be sitting next to in the theater?
