Pine Street Burgers

Grass Valley Eating Out, South Pine BurgerFresh grass fed burgers, salads and shakes, the South Pine Cafe family has expanded to bring Grass Valley Pine Street Burgers.  Located in the Holiday Shopping Center next to KNCO (on the corner of Dorsey Drive and E. Main Street), the burger place was hopping when we stopped in for lunch.  Word has definitely gotten out that this is a place to try, whether you want a blue cheese bacon burger, the vegetarian nut burger, a speciality hot dog, pesto fries or a chocolate milk shake.  The restaurant is open 7 days a week, check their Facebook page for hours and specials.  Suzie and George would like to offer one Outside Inn blog reader a gift certificate for a free burger and a shake, please post a comment on this blog post on what’d you’d like to eat at Pine Street Burgers and I’ll draw the winner on Friday, September 6th.  The winner of the New Room Breads share is Kira.Grass Valley Restaurants, Burgers, Shakes, Salads

I have tried it…I’m not often a burger eater; however, I’ve been dreaming about them ever since I had one. Pine Street is doing burgers and fries right! I’m having the blue cheese bacon burger tonight!

Hot dogs as yummy as ever I had to get my fix as soon as they reopened, I had the garlic fries also and they were very tasty. Next visit a burger for sure. Pine Street is fast food at it’s best….just as quick to go there rather then one of the “chain” burger places. Yum!

My son and I went and had burgers. Yummy. Would love to go back to try some other items. So glad they have Casper dogs. I grew up on those. And, since I am having a baby on the 5th, I could use that gc to refuel after popping a baby out!

We went there already and it was amazing! The burger tasted just like the grass fed ones we make at home- all juicy and tender. And they had dairy free (coconut) milkshakes! First one I’ve had in a long time.

I haven’t been there yet, I didn’t even know Julies wasn’t there any longer. I LOVE that they use free range chickens (pastured would be even better!) Do you know if they use grass fed or pastured beef? I would love to try a burger and pesto fries <- ummm yum! I will make it a point to head over there soon, thanks Erin!

I went for the first time on Wednesday and had a basic burger with cheese and a chocolate shake. It is hands-down my new favorite burger. I think next time I’ll be daring and try the habanero burger. I’ll definitely be getting another shake to help tame the heat.

And for anyone wondering, Julie’s didn’t go out of business. It just morphed into Pine Street Burgers. Suzie and George were the owners of Julie’s. So all your favorite Julie’s hot dog creations are still there.

I’ve been at least once or twice a week since they’ve opened (if not more!). It’s fabulous! I’ve had their bacon and blue, chicken with brie, and their basic with grilled onions and cheese. All these with fries w/ home-made ketchup, and a chocolate shake or soda make for a perfect lunch or dinner! My family loves it – this is definitely our new favorite “burger joint” and the perfect place to go before a movie.
