Bierwagens and Happy Apple Kitchen
Looking for a fun fall outing, stop by Bierwagen’s pumpkin patch in Chicago Park. They’re open for a few more days this month, so if you’re looking for a last minute pumpkin and want to pick one out of a field stop by for a visit. The kids will enjoy the turkeys, goat, scarecrows and hay stacks.
And after you’ve worked up an appetite at the pumpkin farm go across the street to the Happy Apple Kitchen, family owned and operated since 1974, serving up affordable home style cooking. The kid friendly restaurant serves burgers, sandwiches, soups and shakes. You might just have to go home with a jar of homemade jam or a whole apple pie.
