Nevada County Fair
The Nevada County Fair is 5 days full of rides, exhibits, demonstrations, arts & crafts, animals, music and so much more. The Fair runs through Sunday, August 16th at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, gates open at 10am with activities and fun for the whole family. Check out the daily fair schedule, special contests, entertainment guide, Monster Truck and Demolition Derby. What’s your go-to booth on Treat Street? There are lots of great local organizations selling food to help raise funds for their programs year round, we helped in the Lions Club Taco booth yesterday. I’ve included a few photos, thanks NEO for the fun Teen Lounge and the California State Parks for the opportunity to practice gold panning. What’s your favorite part about the fair?

I have to say I have two favorite things about the Fair – The “Wool” Room in Ponderosa Hall and the caramel corn from the Lion’s booth by gate 5. I also love that our fairgrounds have so many trees.
I love the photography and bonsai exhibits. I also love looking at the tags on exhibit items and seeing lots of names of people I know. I saw people I know on stage and Sunday I’ll get to be on stage at the fair my first time. I’m playing in the DeJazz Vu Big Band.
