Victorian Christmas
Nevada City Victorian Christmas helps bring out the holiday cheer. The street fair transforms downtown Nevada City into a big street fair with vendors, food trucks, hot mulled wine, holiday music and more. You can stock up on Christmas gifts, sit by the roaring fire with roasting chestnuts or catch up with old friends. Make sure to keep an eye out for the walking Christmas tree, Father Christmas and Victorian Christmas Singers. You can take a ride on the horse-drawn carriage, grab a bite to eat at one of the local food vendors (Smiley Guys Smokehouse, Calla Lily Crepes, Horn of the Bull, An Honest Pie, Coloma Warps, Top Dog, to name a few) or have a hot toddy from the Nevada City Chamber booth. Don’t forget to stop by LeeAnn Brook Fine Art Gallery on the corner of Spring and South Pine Street and leave a wish on the Wish Tree. If you missed yesterday’s event mark your calendars for Sunday December 11th and 18th (1:30-6pm) and Wednesday December 14th and 21st (5-9pm). If you can’t find a parking spot in town, remember you can always park at the Nevada County Government Center and catch the shuttle. Please check out the upcoming Folk Trails Hiking Club Holiday Pop Up Show where you can get a Virtual Reality tour of the Inn Town Campground and stock up on some gifts for “Dirt Lovers, Tree Huggers, Bird Watchers, Day Hikers- People who know how to have a good time” with t-shirts and totes from Folk Trails Hiking Club, Inn Town Campground mugs, s’mores kits and prints and calendars from Nevada City Scenics. And just so you know, the end of the year Outside Inn blog giveaway is coming… check back this week, can’t wait to share.
