Round Mountain BONC Gala Ride

On a cold (really cold) Saturday in November approximately 30 mountain bikers met at the top of Round Mountain for a BONC (Bicyclists of Nevada County) sponsored GALA ride. Besides BONC members, riders from FTA (Forest Trails Alliance) and FATRAC (Folsom-Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition) came together for a couple of great rides. The advanced group rode up over Round Mountain, down the South Yuba trail, up to Edwards Crossing and back up to the top of Round Mountain. The more relaxed group rode up and over Round Mountain, down the South Yuba trail to Purdons crossing and back up to to the top of Round Mountain. At the top both groups were met with ice cold beer provided by BONC and New Belgium Beer, a proud sponsor of BONC. Once again a great time was had by all and it’s great to see an active biking community coming together for a good time.
