Deer Creek Tribute Trail Community Trek

The Deer Creek Tribute Trail a joint effort by a number of fabulous local non-profits (Sierra Fund, Nevada County Land Trust, American Rivers & Sierra Streams Institute (formally Friends of Deer Creek) is having a kick off party for National Trails Day to celebrate all the hard work. The trail, which I wrote about earlier this year, click here, has been open for a couple of months, but the official ribbon cutting and party are taking place this Saturday, June 4th, with a BONC organized bike ride starting at 8:30am and a community walk starting at 9am.  The trail is very well posted, but if you need any directions either stop by the Outside Inn for a map and we’ll point you in the right direction.  The trail is accessible for all ages, including parts of the trail that are ADA accessible, so don’t wait, grab a friend and go check out the new trail and see what everyone is talking about.
