Music in the Mountains
Music in the Mountains set the stage for an amazing Memorial Day weekend full of classical music. The theme of the three day musical events was “Songs of Peace and Remembrance.” Guest artists included Musical Art Quintet, MIM orchestra and guest soloists Carrie Hennessey and Joel Wigget. In addition the Saturday evening concert market the debut of the first Apprentice Musician Project, with young musicians having an opportunity to perform with their teachers and professionals. The spring chorus concert happens again, Sunday, May 25th at 2pm at the Nevada Theatre in downtown Nevada City. The Music in the Mountains SummerFest is right around the corner, click here for more information. It’s been a couple of months since we went to a concert, but now that it is summertime, I really look forward to the outdoor concerts – MIM at the Fairgrounds or the Nevada County Concert Band at Pioneer Park. Listening to music on the lawn is a great way to enjoy the music and summer!
Have you been to the Acoustic Thursday at the Nevada City Boardwalk? That’s another free outdoor option.
Love the black and white photos! They’re beautiful!
Thank you Denise, I must say that the photos don’t really do the concert justice…
