Nevada City Classic

The 55th annual Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race tore through the streets of historic downtown Nevada City today. The annual Father’s Day race challenges even the most elite of cyclists as the criterium race winds around 7 turns over 1.1 miles and approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, per lap with speeds up to 50 miles per hour. Congrats to all the cyclists, top awards for the men went to Nate English, Max Jenkins, Colin Daw and the top female riders were Shelley Olds, Chloe Dygert and Liza Rachetto. It is very impressive to sit at the Outside Inn and watch the riders speed past our cheering squads, even if we’re all just sitting eating free lemonade and cookies. The Outside Inn and the Inn Town Campground were proud to support of the racers with various cash prizes on speed laps. What was your favorite part about the event, leave a comment and share.
