Grass Valley Thursday Night Market

Grass Valley Thursday Night Market kicked off their summer season last night.  The event, organized by the Grass Valley Downtown Association, runs from 6-9pm every Thursday evening through August 6th.  In addition to a farmers market, there are free concerts, merchants, food and entertainment.  The market is a great opportunity to sample infused olive oil from Olive Vitality, browse books from The Book Seller, learn how to shop the Farmers Market with Alan Tangren through a cooking class at Tess’ Kitchen Store, have a cold brew from Fable Coffee and listen to music with NEO Youth Center.

Kathy Frey, co-owner of Cult of Gemini, which opened this week and enjoyed the opportunity to meet people at the Thursday Night Market.  “We are excited to be a part of the downtown Grass Valley merchants.  We were so happy to meet people — fellow store owners & locals who have been curious about us. We feel part of a movement. The market was bustling!”

What’s your favorite part about the market?  If you’re looking for more Farmers Market, don’t forget the Nevada County Growers Market, Nevada City Farmers Market or the Nevada City Summer Nights (July 15th, 22nd and 29th).  There’s still time to enter the Music in the Mountains SummerFest giveaway, click here for more information.

Kathy Frey, come see us at Jardin del Rio. We will keep adding more and more of our artisan produce as the season carries on. Over 40 types of peppers, 75 kinds of tomatoes, CORN as sweet as our honey, onions that will only make you cry because you can’t believe the sweet and the spicy flavors, cucumbers of every shape and size, zucchini that you have to see to believe (some that even have the texture of artichoke hearts), beans that are over a foot long, potatoes in four colors, eggplants that are almost too pretty to eat. Trust us, if it’s unusual — we have it! The GV Market is early so we all have to be a little patient. Thank you so much for making it to the TNM it is great to see everyone and enjoying in the energy and spirit of a great town! Aubree, Jardin del Rio (Oh, and the honey sold REALLY fast last night, don’t pass it by if you are interested!) Oh, and we are also at Combie Plaza (Tuesdays and Thursdays — after TNM ends) and also Sierra Knolls Wine Tasting Room (Saturday and Sunday), both in South County (where we are located). Happy Summer. And thank you to OutSide Inn!!!

Thank you! Thanks for sharing the link on your FB page too, now I need to buy some honey instead of just photographing it.
