Golden Era Lounge Mocktails

Did you know that Golden Era Lounge in downtown Nevada City has an impressive menu of mocktails? For those who don’t know about their nonalcoholic drinks, they set the bar high with top of the line ingredients, flavor combinations and beautiful drinks. Thank you to the owners Cindy & Steve for inviting me down to sample the amazing options.

The soda fountain menu (priced between $5-$6 a drink) includes: Angostura Phosphate, Cream Soda, Ginger Beer, Key Lime, Mucking Soda, Orange Crush and Raspberry Phosphate. The prohibition style drinks feature interesting ingredients like lactart (an acid usually found in dairy products like dairy and butter milk), egg whites and bitters. Golden Era also makes their orange crush and ginger beer from scratch.

For your next social outing, if you want an alcoholic beverage (the top recommendation is the Grass Valley Girl with Gin, Lime, Orange, Cucumber, Orange Bitters and Seltzer) or something non-alcoholic, there are a lot of great options at Golden Era. If you’re looking for a glass of wine ask them about their local blends of kegged wine.
