Nevada City HAALo Shopping
The driving passion behind HAALo is to provide health and healing alternatives.  Located at 412 Commercial Street, Nevada City the main feature of the shop are the herbalists behind the counter. Each herbalist has different training and background, from nutrition to traditional Chinese medicine.  For visitors to Nevada County, this shop presents unusual local gift ideas like wild crafted manzanita sugar by Alicia Funk, acorn necklaces by Andrew Werderitsch who also crafts didjeridoos available in the shop, soaps, skin care and notecards by local artists, not to mention the variety of herbal and tea blends. For the food aficianado in your life, why not try a packet of Blum & Bru soup stock boosters?  Cookbooks, planting calendars, nature guides and wisdom decks also make great gifts.  HAALo has a huge selection of herbs in bulk, so the herbalists on staff can create custom blends for your specific needs. If you need a consultation for any ailment, you can check out the membership options.  HAALo also offers classes, open Monday through Saturday 10am to 5:30pm.  Our friends at HAALo have a giveaway basket, perfect for a romantic getaway, include a 2 oz. of HAALo custom blend Lover’s Tea, a 2 oz. Jasmine Hydrosol by Floracopeia; and a .25 oz bottle of Zinnia flower essence by FES.  Post a comment on this blog post and I’ll draw the winner on Friday, March 28th (*pick-up not required, will mail goodies if you are not local).  And the winner of the Sushi in the Raw giveaway is Cathy Theobald.

Such a beautiful sign. I’m going to have to go in and check it out because my jam hands need a good soap and lotion. Maybe I’ll stop in before I go have dinner at Sushi In The Raw with the gift certificate I just won. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
